Not in effect: courtme does not collect biometric data today. Identity verification is part of the courtme dating product, which has not launched. No selfie-to-ID face match runs anywhere in courtme, no face template is generated, and nothing in the app asks you for biometric consent. (The photo-processing consent you may see when you upload a photo is a different, narrower one: it covers content and quality checks including face detection, and it is not this notice.) Identity verification will be required in the courtme dating product only, not at IRL events. Before dating mode launches, we will publish the full notice here, with what would be collected, why, who processes it, and how long it is kept, and we will ask for your written consent in the app before any biometric data is collected. Separately, photos you upload are run through automated content and quality checks that include face detection - that is not face recognition, it generates no face template, and it is described in our Privacy Policy.
We do not use face recognition to identify you in photos generally, to tag you, to build a face database, to track you, or to serve advertising.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, delete, or restrict biometric and other personal data. See our Privacy Policy Sections 7–9. Illinois and Texas residents have specific protections under BIPA and CUBI; contact privacy@courtme.ai to exercise them.
